Oceana Francis a graduate of the department of atmospheric sciences in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics mentored by Uma Bhatt and former IARC faculty David Atkinson was offered a tenure track position as an assistant professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Hawaii. She is the first DAS graduate to be offered a faculty position.
