Dining Services offers meal plan for employees

Dining Services is now offering a meal plan for staff and faculty that can be used
for breakfast at Wood Center and lunch and dinners at Lola Tilly Commons.
The meal plan is all-you-care-to-eat and includes 10 meals for $60. The $6 price per
block is a significant discount from walk-up prices, which are $8.60 for breakfast,
$10 for lunch and $10.75 for dinner. The blocks do not expire and roll from semester
to semester.
Dining Services will apply the charge to your UAOnline account so you can pay for

Q. Where can I use the staff and faculty 10-block meal plan?
A. The meal plan is valid at the Lola Tilly for lunch and dinner and at the Wood Center
for breakfast.
The hours of operation Monday-Friday are:
- 7 a.m.-11 a.m., Monday-Friday, Wood Center Breakfast
- 11 a.m.-2:30.p.m., Monday-Friday, Lola Tilly Lunch
- 2:30-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, Lola Tilly light Dinner
- 4:30-8 p.m., Monday-Friday, Lola Tilly Dinner
Saturday-Sunday-Holidays
- 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Lola Tilly Brunch
- 5-8 p.m., Lola Tilly Dinner
Q. Can we use the staff and faculty 10-block meal plan in other dining locations?
A. No. The ten blocks are designed for the Wood Center breakfast and Lola Tilly lunch and dinner only.
Q. Can this plan be used multiple times in a day?
A. Yes, you can go as often as you’d like and you can use it to purchase a friend’s lunch if you’d like.
Q. How do I use the faculty and staff 10-block meal plan?
A. Tell the Wood Center or Lola Tilly staff members that you have a faculty and staff meal plan and they will use your PolarExpress Card to process the transaction.
Q. Why does this plan cost less than the student’s meal plan?
A. This is a special offer for staff and facility to encourage employees to use UAF facilities for dining services.
Q. Will this option be available to purchase all semester long or one time only?
A. UAF will soon make this a permanent program. You have the option to select more than one set of 10 blocks, and they will not expire.
Q. Where can I purchase the staff and faculty meal 10-block meal plan?
A. Dining Services will apply the charge to your UAOnline account so you can pay for it there. http://www.uaf.edu/finserv/aux-bus/dining-services-meal-plan/ These plans are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Q. Can this be used with payroll deductions?
A. Not at this time. Dining Services is working on making this option available in the future. However, you may have a regular payroll deduction applied to your Bear Bucks account and use Bear Bucks to purchase the staff and faculty 10-block meal plan.
Q. I'd like to purchase a staff and faculty meal plan, but is there an option to take meals to go?
A. Lola Tilly has a plastic to-go container that an individual purchases for $4. You'll need to bring it with you when you want to take a meal to go. Bring it back dirty, and the staff will swap it for a clean one.
Reasonably fill up the container with the food you want. For staff, it would cost one block to do so. Essentially it's the same thing as eating in except you have to make a one-time purchase of a container for $4.
