Down Memory Lane lectures will highlight UAF history

Down Memory Lane, an interview series featuring retired University of Alaska Fairbanks
faculty members and administrators, will begin June 11.
The eight-part series is presented by UAF Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning. Hosted
by veteran journalist Robert Hannon, Down Memory Lane will provide a forum for longtime
employees to share wisdom, memories and highlights from their careers at the university.
The series will be at 7 p.m. Mondays at the Elvey Building auditorium.
Down Memory Lane interview subjects will include:
June 11 — Dan Swift, professor of physics, 1963-1994
June 18 — Charles Deehr, professor of physics, 1958-1988
June 25 — Bob Carlson, professor of civil engineering, 1968-2005
July 9 — Barbara Lando, professor of mathematics and computer science, 1969-1990,
and Clif Lando, associate professor of mathematics, 1969-1999
July 16 — Sue McHenry, academic advisor, 1972-2008
July 23 — Susan Henrichs, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs,
1982-2018
July 30 — Dale Guthrie, professor of zoology, 1963-1996
Aug. 6 — Gerry Swartz, professor of biological sciences, 1958-1988
