Duplicate staff longevity between statewide and UAF

Recently I attended both the Statewide and UAF longevity awards. I noticed that several individuals were recognized and awarded at both events. I asked an organizer about this and they explained that people in OIT are recognized twice as the organization spans two MAUs. However, this does not appear to be the case for all OIT staff, as several with milestones were only celebrated at one or the other. Can you explain why this occurs?
