The
Alaska Sea Grant bookstore is offering a download of
Global Progress in Ecosystem-Based Fisheries Management. Eighteen peer-reviewed papers and a conference summary make up this proceedings
of the 26th Lowell Wakefield Fisheries Symposium, Ecosystems 2010: Global Progress
on Ecosystem-Based Fisheries Management. The articles evaluate global progress toward
EBFM by reviewing regional case studies, new analytical tools and practical approaches
to future progress; and offer advice for implementing EBFM. The collection describes
some of the pioneering efforts by scientists and policy makers to consider components
of marine ecosystems as a way to improve sustained yields and conservation of marine
fishes and invertebrates.
Purchase a copy online for $75, or download individual chapters for $2.50 each.
