The UAF School of Management offers the program.

Among the more than 1,200 public and not-for-profit universities offering courses online, the UAF school's online Bachelor of Emergency Management degree program has set a high standard for distance learning.

"This recognition serves to validate our efforts in providing a high-quality education using best practices and cutting-edge technology to benefit our students both in the classroom as well as online,” said Cameron Carlson, the HSEM program's director. “Every member of our program has worked tirelessly to update course materials from semester to semester to ensure we provide the most up to date material possible."

As the frequency and complexity of man-made, natural and technological disasters increase, so does the need for trained emergency management and homeland security professionals who are ready to rise to the challenge.
