September 22, 2016
September is National Preparedness Month, and the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative
Extension Service will host presentations about emergency energy preparedness Sept.
26 and Sept. 27 in Fairbanks.
Extension energy specialist Art Nash will offer the one-hour presentation, “Are you
Ready? — Emergency Energy,” at 5 p.m. Sept. 26 in the Murie Building auditorium on
the UAF campus. A second presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at the
Cold Climate Housing Research Center at 1000 Fairbanks St.
The presentations will cover preparedness basics during power outages and emergency
