EPIC workshop helps instructors build online courses
October 13, 2017
Apply by Nov. 13.
The program includes structured facilitation that connects participants directly to instructional designers and a community of faculty facing the challenges of teaching online. It will require five to 10 hours a week throughout the spring semester, in addition to course development.
“EPIC has made me feel connected to UAF and to my colleagues in ways that I never have before,” said Katie Lubowicki, adjunct instructor of writing, who is in the current cohort. “For the first time, because of the structure that EPIC provides, I am collaborating with multiple other instructors to create a course … I feel not only supported but also excited about becoming an online teacher.”

Instructors who are accepted into the next cohort will finish the program ready to teach their online course in fall 2018.
