The University of Alaska Museum of the North is exploring butterflies with hands-on activities during the month of March.

Families are invited to drop in with children five and younger at Early Explorers Fridays from 10 a.m.-noon, except March 16. On Saturday, March 3, children 6 and older are invited to Junior Curators. These activities are all included with admission and are free for members.

Teen Studio on Saturday, March 31, offers an opportunity for young adults ages 13-18 to start their own butterfly collection. Please preregister at bit.ly/uamnteenstudio.

At Family Day: Butterflies, from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, visitors can discover the diverse world of Alaska butterflies. There is no admission fee for children 14 and younger at Family Days, thanks to support from TOTE Maritime.
