The five-week class will meet by Zoom Mondays and Wednesdays at 3 p.m. through June 3. Developed by Tufts University, the StrongWomen training seeks to improve mobility, strength and bone density, and decrease falls, especially for mid-life and older individuals.

The class is designed for women of all skill levels. Participants will use their own hand weights and leg weights. Preregistration is required at https://forms.gle/Znr88A7VxbH9Nmjz7 to receive the Zoom link.

Shallcross is a health, home and family development agent with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service. For more information, contact her at 907-474-2426, 907-242-6138 or lashallcross@alaska.edu.
