Two baubles with snowflake and reindeer designsThe Fairbanks Symphony will add an extra performance of the annual Design Alaska Holiday Concert on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 3 p.m. in the Charles W. Davis Concert Hall on the Fairbanks campus. The additional concert program is the same as the already scheduled Dec. 8 performance at 4 p.m., and includes the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and the Northland Youth Choir.

Tickets for both concerts are now available the symphony website.

The concert features many seasonal favorites and traditional carols. Also this year, the concert will feature a setting of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas," narrated by UA President Jim Johnsen, and a medley of selections from the popular "Polar Express," along with the traditional audience singalong to close the concert.

During the intermission of both performances, the holiday market cafe will be open, and Santa Claus will be on hand for audience members to take their holiday selfies with him.

The annual silent auction fundraiser will not be held at the Saturday performance but will happen at the Sunday concert.
