With construction on the Life Sciences Facility accelerating in March, Facilities Services will host a meeting for interested staff, faculty and students on March 1 in 501 Akasofu Building from 4- 5 p.m.

Project manager Cameron M. Wohlford will give an overview of the construction timeline and impacts to the area. In addition, Brian Barnes, director IAB and Paul Layer, Dean CNSM will provide programmatic and research overviews. Refreshments will be served.

The existing greenhouse on the site will be removed by March 18 and ground breaking for the new facility will take place March 30 at 4 p.m.

The project will have minimal interruptions on the Fairbanks campus, but will require temporary shifting of parking off Sheenjek Drive beginning in mid-March.

Information about the project will be posted online at http://www.uaf.edu/lifescience/ and general information will be available during the life of the project at 474-1919.

Space is limited and the March 1 meeting will need to end promptly at 5 p.m. to accommodate another meeting in the space.
