Faculty advisors needed for students in fall

UAF Student Support Services has openings for four faculty advisors during the fall
2014 semester.
Applicants should be employed in science, technology, engineering or math and have
one year of advising experience.
Advising for SSS requires two or three hours per week during the semester, with additional
hours during key times.
Faculty will mentor SSS students, connect them with research and internship opportunities
and assist with course registration, graduation planning and other advising functions.
Applicants should have demonstrated experience in and commitment to multicultural
education and educational opportunity for disadvantaged students. Those coming from
similar backgrounds or who have overcome similar barriers are strongly encouraged
to apply.
