Faculty development director conducts trainings in Taiwan

Joy Morrison, director of the Office of Faculty Development under the UAF provost, spent two weeks as a Fulbright specialist training faculty in Taiwan in late November and early December.

Morrison was invited by the Center for Teaching and Learning Development at the National Taiwan University in Taipei, where she offered workshops, did classroom observations and trained staff at the center. She also gave talks and workshops at Tzu Chi University in Hualien and at the National Ilan University in Yilan.

She was keynote speaker at the national Taiwan Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education annual conference in Yilan on Dec. 5, speaking on "Flipping the Classroom."
