A faculty workshop on strategies for conducting difficult dialogues in the classroom will be held 1:45 p.m. – 4 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 9, in the Alumni Lounge, Constitution Hall. In this interactive workshop participants will focus on a few strategies to effectively introduce controversial topics into the classroom.

The workshop will be presented by Libby Roderick, associate director of the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence at UAA, where she will focus on issues related to difficult dialogues, sustainability and climate change, 21st century trends in higher education, and effective teaching to diverse student populations.
