Fairbanks’ premier duct tape event to launch July 24

KUAC will launch the 15th annual Red Green Regatta at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 24, from the Graehl Park boat launch. The event will end at Pioneer Park with an awards ceremony. The public can view the regatta from Wendell and Cushman Street bridges, the pedestrian bridge near Pioneer Park or along the shores of the Chena River.

Register for the regatta online or by phone until 5 p.m. Thursday, July 21. After that, registrater between 10 – 11 a.m. the day of the event at the Graehl Park boat launch. The registration fee is $30 per vessel, which includes an official T-shirt designed by local graphic design artist Sue Sprinkle. Additional T-shirts are available at the regatta for $20 each.
