Want to make a craft, learn something new, tour a UAF facility, hear a great story, run a 5k race or see beautiful artwork next week?
There is a public event almost every day of the Arctic Science Summit Week, and most are free to attend. Here are just a few of the exciting events:
"Dark Winter Nights: North Through Our Eyes" storytelling event
When: March 11, 7–9 p.m. (Doors open at 6:30 p.m.)
Where: Pioneer Park Centennial Center theater
Free admission.
Art Show: Arctic Perspectives
When: March 14, 5–7 p.m.
Where: University Art Gallery, UAF Fine Arts Complex
Free admission.
Science for Alaska Lecture: “Coastal bathtub rings: What ancient shorelines tell us about future sea level rise”
When: March 17, 7–8 p.m.
Where: Wedgewood Resort Ballroom, 212 Wedgewood Drive
Free admission.
