Junior Seiji Takagi sprints up a hill near the middle of the 8.5-kilometer race on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Birch Hill Recreation Area. On Sunday, the Nanooks won the two-day Alaska Nordic Cup over the University of Alaska Anchorage by a margin of 4 minutes and 8 seconds in combined times from the weekend's events.
