Financial aid timelines

As students prepare for the fall semester, please keep these important financial aid
timelines in mind:- Friday, Aug. 16 — Financial aid disburses to student accounts. Updates are done nightly to reflect any schedule changes. The Office of the Bursar will start processing refunds after this date. The status of payments and refunds can be viewed on UAOnline.
- Friday, Sept. 6 — Deadline to pay fees
There is a delay in state financial aid (Alaska Performance Scholarship and Alaska Education Grant) due to the legislative process this year. Funding is now available, but we will not have those funds by the first day of classes like previous semesters. The Financial Aid Office is working to have funds for returning students posted by the first week in September. New students may be a bit later. While we hope to have funds posted by the Sept. 6 fee payment deadline, this may not be possible. However, we will work with students to ensure there are no late fees applied to student accounts due to the state awarding process. Students should continue to check their UAOnline account for payments.
