Fisheries club hosts Fly Fishing Film Tour 2015
May 19, 2015
The tour is a fundraiser for future student club operations and its Alaska blackfish population dynamics student research project.
The film tour promotes catch-and-release and sustainable angling practices. Its mission is to "support local fly shops and conservation groups that form the background of our sport's educational and environmental efforts."
Films will feature angling and conservation work in diverse locales such as in Iceland, Cuba, Montana, Mongolia and Alaska.
Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Big Ray's in Fairbanks, or online here: https://www.ticketriver.com/event/15372.
Door and raffle prizes will be given out. Expect some excellent fishing gear, donated by Big Ray's Fly Shop.
