Flu shots available at health center
January 15, 2014
Influenza is hitting Alaska hard and is expected to persist into the winter and early
spring, but it's not too late for students and employees to get flu shots.
The Student Health and Counseling Center reminds everyone to get a flu shot soon.
Students can get free flu shots during walk-in lab hours at the center, on the second
floor of the Whitaker Building at 612 N. Chandalar Drive. Hours on Mondays, Tuesdays
and Thursdays are from 8:30 a.m.-noon and 2–3:30 p.m.; on Wednesdays from 10 a.m.-
noon and 2-3:30 p.m. and on Fridays from 8:30 a.m.–noon.
University of Alaska Fairbanks employees can come to the center for flu shots during
the same hours. The charge for employees is $15 and can be paid by cash, check or
credit/debit cards. Insurance reimbursement forms are available.
