Flu shots still available

If you haven't gotten your flu shot yet, you're in luck — you can still get vaccinated at the UAF Student Health and Counseling Center through Dec. 18.

This year, it’s more important than ever to get a flu shot. Seasonal flu vaccines reduce the number of people who get seriously ill from influenza. That means we can save hospital beds for our friends, neighbors and family members who need life-saving treatment for COVID-19.

Flu shots will be available by appointment only Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. from Nov. 2-25. The program is open to all UAF students and to UAF staff and faculty and their domestic partners.

When signing up for an appointment, staff, faculty and their partners should fill out the student ID number section with the employee’s ID number.

Please make your appointment online. When you get to the Student Health and Counseling Center, 1788 Yukon Drive, you will enter the set of doors by the fire station, on North Chandalar Drive, and exit through the doors by the police station.

If you have questions, please call 474-7043.
