Food safety management trainings scheduled

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service will host certified
food protection manager trainings by distance delivery March 8 and April 12.
The food safety management trainings will be offered by Zoom from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A computer-based certification exam is included, with proctors in Fairbanks, Glennallen,
Juneau, Palmer, Sitka and Valdez. Proctors may be available in additional communities,
as requested.
State regulations require that all food establishments have at least one certified
food protection manager on staff to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
The registration deadline for the March 8 training is Feb. 21, so participants will
receive the study guide beforehand. March 30 is the deadline to sign up for the April
