Food safety training offered July 29

A certified food protection manager training will be offered July 29 in Fairbanks and Palmer and by videoconference in Sitka, Juneau and Valdez.

The food safety workshop, which is hosted by the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service, will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. State regulations require that all food establishments have at least one certified food protection manager to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

Register by July 17 at http://bit.ly/ces-workshops to receive class materials. The $200 fee includes one certification exam. Palmer Extension agent Julie Cascio and Marsha Munsell of Fairbanks are the instructors.
