Food safety training offered Sept. 30

A certified food protection manager training will be offered Sept. 30 in Fairbanks
and Palmer and by videoconference in Juneau, Kodiak and Bethel.
The food safety workshop, which is hosted by the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative
Extension Service, will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. State regulations require that
all food establishments have at least one certified food protection manager to ensure
compliance with food safety regulations.
Register by Sept. 18 at http://bit.ly/ces-workshops to receive class materials. The $200 fee includes one certification exam. Palmer
Extension agent Julie Cascio and Marsha Munsell of Fairbanks are the instructors.
