University and Student Advancement employees honored

Employees associated with UAF's University and Student Advancement division gathered
Aug. 18 in the Wood Center ballroom for the 2016 Summer Awards Celebration.
They honored four staff members for their outstanding service to UAF:
- Amber Cagwin from the Office of the Dean of Students received the Vice Chancellor's Recognition Award for the 2015-2016 academic year.
- Frank Olive and Sam Braband, both of the Department of Recreation, Adventure and Wellness, were recognized for exemplary performance during the 2015-2016 academic year.
- Toni Shover, the catering manager at Chartwells, was recognized for her exemplary performance during the 2015-2016 year. Each year, an individual that supports USA's efforts from outside the unit is also recognized.
Vice Chancellor Mike Sfraga presented the awards. Sfraga leads University and Student Advancement, which encompasses 20 different departments and offices, from the Office of Admissions and the Registrar to Wood Center.
