Free COVID-19 testing available in Fairbanks

Free COVID-19 testing will be available twice a week in Fairbanks, starting June 30 and running throughout July. Testing will be available from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Carlson Center parking lot. Testing days are generally Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Testing is by appointment only, so members of the public should call 452-1776 to speak with a public health official to be screened. Callers must have at least one of the following symptoms in order to qualify for testing:

• shortness of breath


• fever or chills


• cough


• fatigue


• muscle or body aches


• headache


• loss of sense of taste or smell


• sore throat


• congestion or runny nose


• nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
