Georgeson plant sale hosted May 14
May 6, 2016
The annual Georgeson Botanical Garden spring plant sale will take place from 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m. May 14.
The sale will offer annuals and perennials, including shrubs and trees, flowers, vegetables, herbs, and fruiting plants, such as currants and gooseberries.
“We have a little bit of everything,” said garden manager Katie DiCristina. The plants are grown by volunteers in the School of Natural Resources and Extension greenhouse on West Ridge.
The Georgeson Botanical Garden Society will host the sale at the garden, which is located at the Fairbanks Experiment Farm, 117 West Tanana Drive. The society supports summer positions and other projects at the university’s research and demonstration garden.
