GI librarian appointed to statewide council

Gov. Parnell reappointed Aldean Kilbourn to the Governor's Advisory Council on Libraries.
The council advises the State Library Administration on the development and evaluation
of library services in Alaska as well as the federal Library Services and Technology
Act plan.
Kilbourn is a career educator and part-time librarian at the Keith B. Mather Library at the UAF Geophysical Institute. She served as a teacher for the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District from
1981 –2002, and received a master’s degree in library and information science from
the University of Washington. Kilbourn is reappointed to a seat reserved for a library
user.
