Guest lecturer to speak about child-rearing

The University of Alaska Fairbanks will present a free public lecture, “Raising Great Kids,” Monday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Davis Concert Hall.
Father and former comic Jedd Hafer will offer easy-to-learn strategies for parenting that can help children of all ages solve their own problems, make wise decisions and resist peer pressure.
Hafer is the development director at Axios Youth Community in Green Mountain Falls, Colorado. The center provides individualized care and treatment to high-risk adolescent boys and girls.
