Guest panelists to discuss esports in Alaska

The next event in the Spring Esports Speaker Series, “Alaska Esports Scene,” will be held from 4-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23, online via Zoom.

The Spring Esports Speaker Series is hosted by University of Alaska Fairbanks School of Management’s sport and recreation business program. It is co-sponsored by UAF Esports and the IAC content creation program.

Event panelists will discuss the current state of esports in Alaska, opportunities for high school and college students to participate, and other ways  people can get involved to help the industry grow across the state.

Featured guests will include the following speakers:


  • Heath Day -  education program manager, GCI

  • Mike Juell - esports coordinator, University of Alaska Fairbanks

  • Mark Koski - chief marketing officer, National Federation of State High School Associations
