Heather Lende reading Oct. 16 for Visiting Writers Series

Alaska writer Heather Lende will give a virtual reading Friday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m.
as part of UAF's Midnight Sun Visiting Writer series and the Alaska Reads program.
Lende will read from her 2015 book, "Find the Good: Unexpected Life Lessons from a
Small-Town Obituary Writer."The event will take place on Zoom and livestreamed on Facebook.
Lende’s many essays and stories, mostly about life and sometimes death in Haines, Alaska, have been distributed widely, including The Anchorage Daily News, Christian Science Monitor, NPR and Country Living. She is the author of bestselling memoirs "Find the Good," "If You Lived Here, I’d Know Your Name" and "Take Good Care of the Garden and the Dogs."
