How often are gold lot waiting lists evaluated?

I'm aware that gold lot waiting lists can be a very long wait, but it seems like my place in line hasn't moved in over six months, and I happen to know that several people with gold lot spaces in the lots I'm waiting on have left the university. When/how often are the wait lists re-evaluated?
