HR hours, time sheet deadlines

With the 2017-2018 winter closure quickly approaching, I would like to remind everyone
of critical HR deadlines.
Payroll submission deadlines for employee and approvers:
To avoid lapses in pay, please submit and/or approve timesheets prior to taking leave. Supervisors must contact their proxy or work with their unit PPA if unable to approve timesheets by deadlines listed below. Exempt employees who will be claiming any type of leave during these pay runs must fill out and submit a timesheet by employee deadlines.

Human Resources staffing and office hours:
As with other UAF employees, HR staff will not be working during the hard closure (Dec. 27-Jan. 2) and therefore paperwork submitted late from units will not be processed within the usual turnaround times. In addition, HR will have reduced office hours during this year’s soft closure so that staff can focus on inputting to meet year-end deadlines.
Office hours from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. during the below soft closure dates:
· Dec. 20-22, 2017
· Jan. 3-5, 2018
Office hours CLOSED during the below hard closure and holiday dates:
· Dec. 23-Jan. 2, 2018
