IARC to host First Friday event

The University of Alaska Fairbanks’ International Arctic Research Center will host a First Friday event in the Akasofu Building lobby on Dec. 6.

The event will include art, books and music from noon to 6 p.m. A variety of artists and authors will be present from 3-5 p.m., including Carl Benson, Cheryl Berrong, Rose Bright, Kaja Brix, Yukiko Callahan, LJ Evans, Chelsea Huckbody, Ron Inouye, Maiko Iwahana, Nicole Mölders, Chip Morris, Tobey-Jean Priest, Ned Rozell, Lucy Smith, Rawser Spicer, Hisako Suzuki Ito, Jacob Teague, Yen Wong and Jessie Young-Robertson.

The Geophysical Institute Map Office, University of Alaska Press and UAF Large Animal Research Station also will participate. North Star Strings will provide music.
