October 8, 2020

University Relations

Digital content creators Alice Qannik Glenn, Tak Marrero and Jacqui Lambert will be panelists in an open conversation about their cultural identities and stories on the new and emerging digital platforms. The event will be held Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. as part of UAF's 2020 Indigenous Peoples' Day activities.

The goals of this event are to increase awareness of the importance of representation on social media, the possibilities of content creation as an artistic or career outlet, and the diversity of stories and journeys available on digital platforms. This event will be recorded so it can be accessed by people who are interested but cannot attend that night. Please register even if you are not able to make it so that you can access the recording.

The panel is hosted by the content creation program, part of the UAF College of Rural and Community Development, and the Nanook Diversity and Action Center.

Register online.

The content creator program is being developed by the Interior Alaska Campus through the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education Title III Program.
