Information sought in death of bald eagle

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is asking the public to help with an investigation into the death of a bald eagle found on the Fairbanks campus May 21.

Preliminary tests show the eagle had been shot. It was found in the brush south of Ambler Lane, the road leading to the Haida parking lot, west of the Chapman Building.

A $2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to the conviction of those responsible.
