Items needed for Alternative Spring Break fundraiser

The Alternative Spring Break team is back, and this year we are headed to volunteer in Houston, Texas! As in previous years, we will be aiding in youth development, plus reconstruction from Hurricane Harvey. We have been raising funds for this volunteer trip since November, and we are about to host our biggest fundraising event of the year!

On Tuesday, Feb. 13, we are hosting a silent auction from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in the Wood Center multilevel lounge. We will auction off an array of items, from pieces of art to date night baskets, all perfectly suited for those last-minute Valentine’s Day gifts.

We need your help! If you have items you would like to donate, whether it's an unwanted Christmas present or an offering of your own time, we would greatly appreciate them. Donations can be dropped off at the Student Leadership and Involvement office anytime by Feb. 12. We are also happy to come pick them up! If you can't donate, we would still love for you to come to the auction and bid on our wonderful selection of items.

We couldn’t make Alternative Spring Break a reality without support from community members. It is an amazing program that gives not only to the communities we work in, but instills a lifelong passion for service in the students who give their time and energy.
