AlaskaOne is still accepting entries for its 2011 poster contest. The deadline for entries is Friday, Jan. 7 at 5 p.m.
Each year, AlaskaOne puts out a call for art submissions for its annual poster, which is offered as a thank-you gift during the public television fundraiser. The 2010 poster featured Ester photographer Douglas Yates’ “Spring Frieze.” Many of Alaska’s renowned artists have had their work selected for the annual poster, including Bill Brody, Barry McWayne, Todd Sherman, Alvin Amason, Claire Fejes, Randall Compton, Byron Birdsall, David Mollett and Barbara Lavallee.
Artists may enter up to three pieces of art. Selection is by a committee of the community and university’s top art experts.
