Join the student ambassador program

University Relations

Student ambassadors are Nanooks who enjoy helping others, making a difference in their community and working with prospective UAF students. Do you know a student like that? Are you a student like that?

During the school year, student ambassadors volunteer about 20 hours each semester. They offer campus tours to visiting students, blog about college life, chat with applicants online, help with recruitment events, and reach out to local K-12 schools. Benefits to student ambassadors include a $200 scholarship each semester, the opportunity to build professional leadership and public speaking skills, as well as the chance to represent UAF.

To nominate someone as a student ambassador, visit bit.ly/W8KQtA.

To apply to the program yourself, go to www.uaf.edu/ambassadors/. A program coordinator will follow up with more information about the position and how to schedule an interview.

All applications and nominations are due by Friday, April 10.
