Jennifer Jolis, assistant professor at the UAF
Community and Technical College Culinary Arts and Hospitality program, has earned the Certified Hospitality Educator designation from the Educational
Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association. To earn the designation she
had to attend a three-day workshop, successfully pass a qualifying exam and present
a 45 – 60 minute videotape of a live classroom presentation incorporating educational
principles learned at the workshop.
The CHE designation is recognized by the American Culinary Federation and is required
for all instructors at Culinary Institute of America’s campuses.
