Journalism fellowship offered for Arctic Science Summit Week

The University of Alaska Fairbanks is accepting applications for the Arctic Journalism
Fellowship to cover Arctic Science Summit Week, March 12-18, 2016, in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Each of the five journalists selected will receive round-trip airfare to Fairbanks,
a $1,000 stipend, access to complimentary off-site field trips and a ticket to the
International Arctic Assembly Day banquet. A special luncheon for fellows will be
held on March 14.
ASSW is the annual gathering of international organizations involved in Arctic research.
The event brings together science and policy leaders from academia, government, industry
and nongovernmental organizations. Nearly 1,000 participants from about 30 countries
are expected at the 2016 meeting in Fairbanks.
Print and broadcast journalists, bloggers, writers or other individuals with distinctive
voices are encouraged to apply. International applicants are welcome.
