UAF's student-run radio station KSUA 91.5 FM has moved into new broadcast and production studios in the shared student media space in the Wood Center. Following a vote of the student body and action taken by the ASUAF Senate, KSUA has joined the Sun Star and Concert Board to create a new, multidisciplinary ASUAF media program now located in Wood Center 214, across from the ballroom.

ASUAF Student Media will provide students with a modern, collaborative practical laboratory to develop skills in media production, public relations and sales.

The new ASUAF program is hosting a celebratory open house Friday, July 19, in conjunction with Nanook Rendezvous. The event is from noon-2 p.m. in Wood Center and will feature free food, studio tours, an opportunity to meet student staff and DJs, and a chance to record station IDs. All students, faculty and staff are invited; the event is free and open to the public.

This event is cohosted by ASUAF Student Media and the UAF Alumni Association. For more information, contact ASUAF advisor Ronnie Houchin at rshouchin@alaska.edu or 474-5153.
