KUAC to be off air Wednesday

The power outage planned for Oct. 5 at KUAC FM and TV didn't occur as the construction contractor had planned. It has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All KUAC television channels and radio stations as well as streaming options will be shut down while electrical work is done in the Regents' Great Hall above KUAC's offices. During the power outage, the KUAC office will be closed and the telephones will not work.

The outage will affect all FM translator stations in Bettles, Delta Junction, Eagle, Healy, Nenana, Nome and Tok, and TV translators in Delta Junction, Healy and Nenana.

KUAC officials said they hope to be fully operational again by 2 p.m. Wednesday. For more information call 474-1890.
