Please join Sebastian Heiduschke, an associate professor in the World Languages and Cultures Department at Oregon State University, on Tuesday, May 19, at 1 p.m. in Rasmuson Library, room 340, for a conversation about faculty-driven, online program development in response to OSU’s academic program review.

Heiduschke's department, faced with cuts, deliberately and carefully designed online language programs to expand their reach and recruit new students. This one-hour discussion will focus on his research and experience in creating a highly successful online program, developing online curriculum and creating rich student learning communities through a variety of interactive methods. This session is part of UAF eLearning's Faculty on TAP (Teaching And Pedagogy) initiative, which brings together faculty who want to discuss any and all aspects of the methods, challenges and rewards of teaching. Refreshments, in addition to lively conversation, will be provided.
