Lecture series brings the world to local families

The University of Alaska Fairbanks’ Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning will sponsor a family-friendly lecture series offering attendees insight on growing up in another culture.

Family Cultural Night will be held Mondays through July 2 at 7 p.m. at the UA Museum of the North on the UAF campus. The series features UAF students and staff and faculty members. They will share their impressions of life in another country. The countries included in the series are: Taiwan, Ukraine, Bangladesh and Egypt.

June 11—“The Culture of Taiwan,” with Ying Chih Fang

June 18—“Beauty of Ukraine,” with Inna Conner

July 2—“Egypt: The Second State,” with Ahmed Hosney Ahmed Kamel
