Lecture to focus on local food production

The Alaska Center for Energy and Power will host its next community lecture May 25 at 6 p.m. at the Blue Loon on the Parks Highway.
The lecture, “Local Food Production for Energy Security,” will discuss how producing food locally can improve local energy security. Speakers include Tom Zimmer from Calypso Farm and Ecology Center, Jeff Werner from the UAF School of Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences, and Markus Mager from the Alaska Center for Energy and Power.
