Libraries and digital resources fee

April 16, 2019

University Relations

A new libraries and digital resources fee will be assessed beginning the fall 2019 semester. UAF libraries are largely an electronic service supporting virtual library services, media equipment and resource materials that enhance UAF student learning beyond the boundaries of the physical collections. Library resources are available to students in communities across the state.

The new fee structure is $5 per credit hour starting at 3 credits, with a maximum fee of $75. This fee was recommended after consultation with library administration, faculty, staff and student governance groups. Feedback on this fee can be submitted through this Google form link by May 31, 2019.

The Rasmuson Library will solicit student feedback annually for recommendations on library resources and services that are offered with funding from this fee. Feedback will be collected through a combination of surveys, focus groups and consultation with ASUAF leadership.
