Library lecture to explore political collections

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Rasmuson Library will host a free public presentation Thursday, Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the research room on Level 2 of the library. The presentation will feature the political collections in the Alaska and Polar Regions Archives & Collections, including the Ernest Gruening, Anthony J. Dimond, E.L. “Bob” Bartlett, Mike Gravel, and William A. Egan papers. Assistant archivist Rose Speranza will discuss how political collections make their way to the archives and how they are processed and described for use. Items from the archives will be on display and the Senator Ted Stevens Gallery “Pipeline Politics and People” exhibit will also be open. Northwest Archivists, Inc. and the Rasmuson Library are sponsoring the event.
