Link Olson,
UA Museum of the North curator of mammals, has been named an Edward P. Bass Distinguished Visiting Environmental
Scholar and will join the Yale Department of Anthropology this spring to conduct research.
During his sabbatical, Olson will be working with Eric Sargis on several ongoing collaborative
projects, including evolution of the poorly studied mammalian order Scandentia (treeshrews),
bat species diversity in Cambodia, and the functional morphology of the postcranial
skeleton of Madagascar's tenrecs. Olson will also interact with curators at the Yale
Peabody Museum about current issues in collections-based research.
